SoCal Epee Class with Master of Arms, Eric Grumier

Come, fence and train at this class for all levels of fencers with a focus on intermediate and advanced fencers with renowned Master of Arms, Eric Grumier. All fencers must bring their own equipment. Class is $40 for Swords members and $60 for non-Swords members. Limited space is available. Class runs from 6-7pm with open bouting after and private lessons can be scheduled with Master Grumier. Please email to schedule private lessons. This is a great opportunity to train with Coach Eric Grumier, father and original coach of Gauthier Grumier of the French National team. He has been the maître d'armes at the Cercle Nevers Escrime from 1980 to 2018(The Best French club for over 20 years) He was also the main coach for the South Korean team in the 1988 Olympics for "SEOUL 88". Under his direction and training, South Korea won Gold and Bronze in individual as well Gold in Team at the 1986 Asian Championships. He has sent several athletes to the European championship and to the World Cup circuit. He produced 5 athletes that won medals at both Junior European and World cups. He has also successfully shown success in Seniors and the Olympics with medals in the European Championship as well as World Cups and Championships. His student also won the Bronze medal in the individual event in the Olympics as well as the Gold on the French National team. He has years of experience and we are honored and blessed to have the opportunity to work with him in the sport that he has dedicated his life to. Students will also have the opportunity to work with Coach Tigran Shaginian who has developed several National Team members including Stephen Ewart, Madeline Kehl, Kevin Mo, Michael Raynis, and many others. We will have several top 20 fencers in attendance from Stephen Ewart, Irene Yeu, and Stafford Moosekian in Junior, Cadet, and Y14 categories.
