This high-intensity Olympic camp is designed and led by the Bida Fencing Academy coaching team to prepare athletes for peak performance at the most important tournament of the season.
What You’ll Experience
This camp is designed for serious competitive preparation ahead of USA Summer Nationals.
It is not general training and not a mixed-level camp — every element is built around real competition demands.
As part of this program, Olympic Champion and World Champion Matteo Tagliariol joins the BIDA coaching team as a special guest coach, bringing elite Italian athletes from the Cadet, Junior, and U23 National Teams.
These athletes provide high-level international sparring, exposing participants to:
- different fencing styles,
- unfamiliar tactical rhythms,
- and competitive tempos rarely available in the U.S.
This environment closely reflects what athletes will face at Summer Nationals — technically, tactically, and mentally.

Training focuses on:
- tactical decision-making under pressure
- technical precision late in long training days
- adapting quickly to unfamiliar opponents
- maintaining mental control in decisive moments
All sessions are aligned with peak-performance timing for the most important tournament of the season.

Sergey Bida - Olympic Silver Medalist, World No. 1 (2019–2020), World Champion
Violetta Bida - Olympian, 3× World Champion, 3x European Champion
Zhanna Bikkina - Stanford Assistant Coach, Coach of national team athletes, World Champions, and Pan American Champions
Sergei Tikhonov - Former Head Coach of the UAE, Jordan, and Kuwait National Teams
Evgeniia Semina - International Foil Coach with UAE National Team experience
Diana Berbega - Former member of the Russian National Team
Matteo Tagliariol supports the camp as a special guest coach, fully integrated into the BIDA training structure.

Camp Organization
All BIDA Fencing Academy camps are professionally organized and staffed to ensure a safe, structured, and high-quality training environment.
Training groups are formed by age and competitive level to maintain appropriate intensity and maximize individual development.
Daily schedules, training structure, and supervision are handled exclusively by the BIDA coaching staff.

Parking
Free on-site parking and nearby street parking are available.
Spectators
Parents are welcome to observe from designated viewing areas only.
Sideline coaching is not permitted in order to maintain a focused training environment.
Equipment
Athletes must bring:
- full fencing equipment,
- refillable water bottle,
- lunch (lunch is not provided).
Limited loaner equipment may be available upon request but is not guaranteed.
Payment Policy
- Online payment is strongly recommended to secure a spot.
- Walk-in or door payments are accepted only by prior approval and may be subject to additional or double fees.
- Registration is not considered complete until payment is received.
Refund Policy
- Full refund (minus $50 processing fee) if canceled 21+ days before camp start.
- 50% refund if canceled 14–20 days before camp start.
- Credit only for cancellations within 13 days of camp start
- (medical withdrawals require documentation).
- No refunds for missed days or early departure.
If BIDA Fencing Academy cancels or reschedules a camp, families will receive a full refund or full credit.
USA Fencing Membership Requirement
All participants must hold at least a non-competitive USA Fencing membership
(upgrade to competitive membership is permitted and acceptable).
