Clinic Structure & Training Focus

The clinic at Elite International Fencer’s Club will go beyond physical training and focus on high-level competitive intelligence and athlete development. Sessions will include:

Tactical Discussions

In-depth breakdowns of bout strategy, distance control, tempo changes, and opponent profiling. Athletes will learn why actions work, not just how to execute them.

Video Analysis

Review of international and elite-level bouts, as well as athlete-specific footage when available. Coaches will highlight tactical patterns, decision-making moments, and technical adjustments relevant to competition.

If you have specific videos you can book a time with club owner Jim Roberts, for a 20 minute video review for $40.00.

Training Mindset & Competitive Psychology

Discussions on preparation, focus, emotional control, and performance under pressure. Emphasis is placed on building professional habits, resilience, and confidence in high-stakes situations.

Applied Tactical Training

Concepts discussed off-strip will be directly applied during fencing sessions, allowing athletes to immediately integrate ideas into live bouts and drills.

Competition Readiness

Guidance on warm-up routines, bout planning, adaptation during pools and DEs, and post-bout evaluation to reinforce continuous improvement.

What Athletes Can Expect
