Welcome to Battle 2026, our summer tournament and our first attempt at an all-foil tournament. Due to the size of the venue/number of events, all events have a maximum limit on the number of fencers.
Welcome to the Curse of Capistrano, a name taken from the first Zorro story. The fictional Zorro was believe by some to be partially based upon the California bandit, Joaquin Murrieta, who was killed on this date in 1853. It was later incorporated into the last great Zorro film, the Mask of Zorro. Many a fencer took their first class after seeing that fil. It's a bit of a reach, but as good a way to name a tournament as any.
Please note that due to the size of the venue and the number of events, all events have a limit on the number of competitors.. USA Fencing Access Level membership (or higher) required.
