This is the fifth of a five-tournament series. The finish of each participant will go toward their Junior Progressive points list standing. $20 for the first event entered, $15 for all other events.
In order to assure that the overall winners at the end of the series of 4 Junior Progressives (2 held in the fall and 2 in the spring) represents the most outstanding fencer, the point system and criteria are as follows: ⢠one may enter a maximum of 3 events at any tournament ⢠one may NOT enter events that have the same start time. ⢠A minimum of three fencers must be entered for the event to be held. ⢠To qualify for the final tabulation of points, a fencer must compete in the same events (same age group) in 3 of the 5 tournaments. ⢠The final tabulation will include the 4 best event scores, in which 4 of the scores come from their age group event and the other 4 come from one age group above their age group (e.g. 4 best results from Y14 sabre + the 4 best results from Cadet Sabre). Junior Points for Juniors are double the other categories due to the lack of an age category above. Junior points are awarded at half value for Cadets. ⢠Prizes are allocated on the basis of points. All fencers who compete in the same event three of the four tournaments will be eligible for an award. Awards are customarily fencing equipment that is chosen from the prize table, from the highest point earner to the last at the end of the last tournament of the series.
