Fencers Club Veteran Sabre Cup

Entrance Fee: $60 if pre-registered, $75 if walk-in.

Format: One round of pools followed by direct elimination.

Prizes: Top 3 fencers will win medals.

If there are less than 8 fencers registered by Friday evening, we cancel the event. If there are not enough fencers to have both events, we make it a mixed event.

Payment and Refunds:

Payments can be made in cash (preferred), credit card or check on tournament day at the door. Fencers Club does not issue refunds for tournament entry fees.

2023 - 2024 TRI-STATE VETERAN SABER CUP

This is one of the events in the 9th Annual Tri-State Veteran Saber Cup!

In the past two seasons, the Cup produced 6 A2-rated Vet XS events, 14 A/B ratings, 16 C/D/E ratings

and saw more than 225 registrations across 10 events. The Cup also produced 10 WS events with more

100 registrations. These are among the largest Veteran Saber events in the country outside of the North

American Cups. Competitors include people from as far away as Atlanta and Chicago.

TRI-STATE VETERAN SABER CUP SERIES

In addition to individual event awards, the Top 3 MS and the Top 3 WS fencers in the 2023-2024 Cup

Ranking at the end of the season will be recognized.

2023-2024 Cup Ranking will be based on a points system as follows:

1. Fencers will be awarded points for each event completed:

a. Each fencer will be assigned a value based on their rating (A=7, B=6, C=5, D=4, E=3, U=2)

b. Fencers will earn points equal to the sum of the points of the fencers who finish below them,

plus 2 points (in the case of Vet XS, MS will earn points for all MS finishers below them)

2. Each fencer’s Cup ranking will be based on their three best finishes (as measured by points)

3. Any ties at the end of the Cup season will be resolved in favor of the fencer who earned the highest

number of points at any single Cup event
