Getting schooled doesn't have to hurt - we award cookies to all finishers! Lots of beginner and low-level events to get you excited to learn more.
Note This is a Old AskFRED event. Registrations and results are all correct, but some other data could be missing.

After a long summer off, it can be humbling to get back on the fencing strip and get schooled. Let us make it easier to come back with this tournament on Saturday, September 28th. We're keeping the sharks out of these pools so you can jump in without fear! Cost is $10 registration, plus $10 per event. Please bring cash or checks ONLY, as we do not accept debit/credit at tournaments. Events Scheduled: D & Under Senior Epee - 9:00 AM Y12 Epee - 10:00 AM AFL One-touch Epee - Noon AFL Prep Foil - 2:30 PM Please note that NONE of these events are sanctioned by the Oregon division. USFA and/or AFL membership is NOT required. Ratings will only be given for AFL events. You must be born in 2000 or earlier to compete in the D & Under event. Grounded strips will be used for epee events. If you are unsure which events you can compete in, the USFA has a helpful birth and classification chart here: http://www.teamusa.org/USA-Fencing/Events/About-Tournaments/Age-and-Classification-Requirements.aspx All events require USFA/AFL-compliant mask, glove, knickers, UAP, socks, and jacket (name stenciling NOT required). Please note that while USFA events allow colored uniforms, etc., AFL events do not - white uniforms (including socks!) are required. Electrical equipment is mandatory for the One-Touch Epee event. AFL rules and requirements can be viewed online at www.americanfencingleague.org. Thanks for your cooperation.
