12/13 Foil Fencers and Fencing Shoes

FRED Announces the Foil Fencers & Fencing Shoes Please join us for our Mens and Women E & Under (open), Y14 Mens and Women, and Y10/Y12 MIXED foil tournaments. EACH EVENT WILL BE CAPPED AT 18 FENCERS DUE TO FACILITY SIZE. $30 Registration Fee / $30 Event Fee - First place receives new fencing shoes! This is a USFA sanctioned event and all proper, up-to-date equipment is required. Tournament format: One round of Pools with 100% promoted to a direct elimination (DE) tableau. Age eligibility for Youth Events: Y14 2001-2004 Y12 2003-2006 Y10 2005-2008 1st-3rd receive medals. 1st-8th receive medals for Y10/Y12 event. Location: Suffolk Fencing Academy 1055 Portion Road 12W Farmingville, NY 11738 DIRECTIONS FROM THE LONG ISLAND EXPRESSWAY: Eastbound or Westbound: Take LIE to exit 62 and head NORTH on Nicolls Road (CR-97). Within 1 mile take the Portion Road (CR-16) ramp heading WEST and the facility will be on your right hand side. DIRECTIONS FROM NYS ROUTE 347: Eastbound or Westbound: Take route 347 and head SOUTH on Nicolls Road (CR-97) until you approach Portion Road (CR-16) ramp. Make a right on to Portion Road and the facility will be on the right hand side. Registration fees will not be refunded. Event fees may be refunded if requested.
