This is the 2019 TN Division Summer Nationals Qualifying tournament. It is only open to members of the Tennessee Division. Events for Div2/3 and Y14, in all weapons.

This event is the Division II/III and Y14 TN Division Qualifier for the 2019 US Summer National Fencing Championships in Columbus, OH. $25 registration fee, plus $25/event. MUST have a current USA Fencing COMPETITIVE Membership and be a member of the TN Division. ENTRY & ELIGIBILITY: POSTED CLOSE OF REGISTRATION TIMES ARE ESTIMATED, AND MAY BE UPDATED BY 4/24/19. All close of registration times are in Central Standard Time (CST). These are not the times that the events will actually start. Events will typically begin 10-15 minutes after close of registration, but absolutely NO registrations will be accepted after close of registration. NO EXCEPTIONS! Please arrive early to have your equipment checked, and allow warm-up and registration time. Venue will be opened 1 hour prior to close of registration of first event. Registration close times MAY be updated by 4/24/2019 based on how many athletes are pre-registered. Please check back to be sure you arrive on time! It is your responsibility to check if event times change. We will make all efforts not to change times. Registration fee is $25 + an event fee of $25 for each event entry (i.e If you pre-register for one event, you will pay a total of $50, if you pre-register for two events, you will pay a total of $75.) The pre-registration deadline is Tuesday, 4/23/2019 at 11:59:59 PM. Any pre-registrations after that time will NOT be accepted! NO WALK-INS! In order for your pre-registration to be valid, you MUST complete payment via askfred.net (to make payments via check, please contact chairman@tennesseefencing.org for instructions. Pre-registration will not be complete until payment is received; NO payments accepted the day of the tournament). Pre-registering for an event without payment is not considered a valid pre-registration. Pre-registration is ONLY valid once payment is received. NO EXCEPTIONS! PRE-REGISTER AND PAY EARLY! If there are 3 or fewer fencers pre-registered for an event after the close of pre-registration on 4/23/2019, the event will NOT be fenced, and the fencer[s] does NOT need to attend the event. The Registration fee ($25) will NOT be refunded, however the event fees ($25) CAN be refunded ONLY if requested in writing and received by 5/6/2019 (one week after the event). Fencers MUST be Citizen or Permanent Resident (proof required). All fencers must have a CURRENT USA Fencing "Competitive" Membership and show proof (Membership ID Card) at check-in. ONLY members of the TN Division of USA Fencing may compete in this qualifier. This is a USA Fencing and Tennessee Division Sanctioned event; ratings will be awarded where earned in Div 2/3 events, but not in Y14 events unless the event is rated at least a C1. REFEREES: We have made efforts to secure the absolute best available referee cadre for this qualifier. These are some of the very best referees in the US, and we're lucky to have them referee our qualifier. Top 25% will qualify in each event with a minimum of up to 3 qualifiers. Fencers who are only eligible for Division 2 events will be skipped when determining qualifying places. Fencers who qualify for Division 2, and are eligible for Division 3 will automatically be qualified. UNIFORMS & EQUIPMENT: Fencers are required to have complete fencing uniforms as required by USA Fencing. This includes the following items: Mask with two retaining devices (foil masks must have a conductive bib as now required), mask cord (foil/saber), jacket, plastron (underarm protector), knickers, lame (foil/saber), glove (800N saber), tall socks (must overlap knickers, proper footwear (no sandals, boots, heeled shoes, etc.), two working body cords and two working electric weapons. Weights (foil/epee) and shims (epee) will be tested! Masks, lames (foil/saber), gloves, cuffs (saber) and bodycords, and mask cords (foil/saber) will we checked!
