The Long Island Fencers' Club welcomes fencers to join our journey into the Olympic Sport of Fencing.
ENTRY
This event is sanctioned and hosted by the Long Island Fencers’ Club under the Long Island Division of the United States Fencing Association. Fencer ratings can be awarded per the USA Fencing Classification Chart.
Tournament registration shall be restricted at the tournament organizer's discretion to ensure compliance with local ordinances and laws.

REGISTRATION
To compete, all fencers must have a valid USA Fencing Competitive, USA Fencing Access, or another FIE Federation membership type for the 2023-2024 season.
Events may be mixed. If six or more female fencers register and check-in, the event may be split by gender.

Walk-ins are not permitted.
REGISTRATION END DATE

CHECK-IN CLOSE TIME
Fencers must check in thirty (30) minutes before the event start time. Those who fail to check in thirty minutes before the start time will be excluded, and no refund will be issued.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT
Fencers must follow the age restrictions set forth by the USFA. These restrictions can be found on the page here: https://www.usafencing.org/age-classification-eligibility
Events consist of one round of pools with 100% promotion to the direct elimination table.
Medals are awarded to the top eight places with no fence-off for third place.
Finalist (top eight) must wear their club shirts, sweats, or a full white fencing uniform to the awards area.
All fencing is conducted with electrical fencing equipment.
Fencers are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all posted information and must report errors to the bout committee immediately.
TOURNAMENT GUIDELINES
All staff, coaches, spectators, and athletes therein are expected to abide by the USFA Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policies (MAAPP), which can be found here:
All staff and coaches are expected to fully comply with the USFA SafeSport policies, including appropriate valid Background Checks and up-to-date SafeSport training, as applicable.
FENCING UNIFORMS | EQUIPMENT
All fencing equipment is subject to inspection, and participants agree to accept our inspectors' decision regarding its fitness.
Names and Countries are not required to be printed on the uniform.
All USA fencing uniform requirements apply, including two weapons, two body cords, two mask cords (where applicable), an underarm protector, a chest protector, and long fencing socks.
Fencing equipment is available for sale and marked final sale (no returns, exchanges, refunds, or anything else).
PARKING
The Long Island Fencers’ Club offers ample parking for our events. The parking lot is open, and users accept personal responsibility for their vehicles and property. Parking lot security is NOT provided.
REFUNDS
No refunds are permitted within 30 days of the tournament date to ensure the best possible referee cadre of specially trained personnel. Fencing Referees who commit to providing their services for this event are precluded from working other events, and canceling them at the last minute will adversely impact their earning potential while denying their services to other fencers. Think twice before registering.
