Entry Requirements
-)----BCFA competitive membership or other valid CFF competitive membership is required for all events.
-)----U-13 (Y12) events fencer must be 12 years old or younger as of Dec. 31, 2006. Note: U-13 events are unsanctioned by CFF.
-)----Cadet events - fencer must be 16 years old or younger as of Dec. 31, 2006.
-)----Junior events - fencer must be 19 years old or younger as of Dec. 31, 2006.
-)----Mixed events fencer may male or female.
-)----Team events minimum 3 fencers per team plus an optional 4th alternate
-)----Fencers may enter multiple overlapping events, but the official may force them to withdraw from one or more if there is scheduling conflict. There will be no refund of entry fees if a fencer is forced to withdraw for these reasons. Team must have an alternate if any of their fencers are entered in other events at the same time.
-)----Events will be cancelled if fewer than 6 entries are received by the entry deadline.
Equipment Requirements
All fencers must have regulation fencing gear (mask, jacket, pants) in good condition. A plastron is required if using a non-FIE jacket. All events are conducted with electric scoring equipment, and fencers must present to the strip with at least two working weapons and body wires. Medal round of open foil will be conducted under new timing rules: earlier rounds may be conducted under old timing rules, depending on your strip assignment.
Officials
Certified officials are paid $60 - $100 per day (to be confirmed), depending on certification level. Uncertified officials earn free entry credits (one free event per day officiating, transferable to another fencer).
Entry Fees
If registration is received by Wednesday, March 21, 2007:
Senior Events - $40
Youth Events - $25
Teams - $40
Late registration penalty (after March 21) - $20 per event, in addition to above fees.
Fees may be paid at the time of check-in. Make checks payable to the BCFA
Preregistration opens on 02/18/2007.
Preregistration closes on 03/23/2007.
