IFA's Silicon Valley Cup (IFASVC)

We will not be charging any late fees for last minute show up at the door! Each season, International Fencing Academy, Sunnyvale California (IFA – CA) runs one of the best organized, USFA sanctioned, series of tournaments to be exclusively hosted by and at IFA’s facility, IFA’s Silicon Valley Cup (“IFA-SVC”). In order to keep the fees at a minimum, Payment is made at the door at time of check in via cash, or check payable to "International Fencing Academy ". If you intend to pay via cash, please plan on having the exact amount. Rules and regulations: The circuit is run in accordance of the USFA Rule book and all fencers must have a current USFA competitive membership in order to compete in these sanctioned events. All results, including new ratings earned at IFA-SVC, will be forwarded to USFA. IFA’s- Silicon Valley Cup REGISTRATION FEE: Regular Tournament Registration: $20 per tournament Late Tournament Registration: $40 per tournament. In addition to the registration fee, an event fee is required for each event the fencer registers. EVENT FEE: Regular Event Fee: $50 per event Late Event Fee: $100 per event At-the-door Registration: Both the tournament and the event fee double. EVENT Check-In time: Saturday 06/19/2021: 1. Y12 ME @ 8:00 am 2. Y12 WE @ 11:00 am 3. CDT WE @ 2:00 pm Sunday 06/20/2021: 1. CDT ME @ 8:00 am 2. JNR WE @ 11:00 am 3. JNR ME @ 2:00 pm Preregistration closes on 06/08/2021. Please make sure that the email address you have in askFred is a valid address, so that we may communicate with you if necessary. It is possible, that we may have to adjust the start time of the events depending on the number of entries. If you are new to competitive fencing, you must have a USFA competitive membership in order to compete, in the sanctioned events only. Registration is online at: http://askfred.net membership and complete the fencer’s profile on askFred to help event administration. Please bring your USFA membership card and a government issued ID to verify your eligibility to fence in this event in case it is not yet verified by the USFA. Competition Format: One round of pools with 100% promotion to direct elimination round. Medals for the top 4 fencers, with tie on third place. COVID Protocol, kindly take note of the following: 1. Bring your picnic and a chair as we have enough outdoor space under our covered walkway for families to spread out. You can place chairs 6 feet apart or view and take pictures through our large picture glass windows. 2. We are allowing one coach and parents in the club at this time in order to free the space for fencers. Coaching during events is very important for the fencer's development. 3. Bring exact change if paying by cash, we have a number of banks next to the facility with ATMs. 4. All participants, in any capacity, fencer, referee, admin, or other, must wear a face covering while on the premises.
