CCFC Invitational Inspirational Recreational Non-Denominational Inaugurational Fencing Tournament of Fun, with Entrance for a Song plus a Nominal Fee, Kazoos Provided at the door, Come for the Saturday, Stay for the Escrime Sundae!
It's been a few years since our last one, but CCFC is proud to hold our 6th Escrime Sundae tournament, where the earlier you get knocked out, the earlier you get some ice cream! Tournament is on SATURDAY April 25th, with the following events: 10:30 am - Mixed Épée 12:00 pm - Mixed Foil 1:30 pm - Mixed Sabre 2:00 pm - Unsanctioned Mixed Novice Foil Registration is $25 per event, and all events are sanctioned, so please have your CFF license up to date. Registration is only $20 for the Unsanctioned Novice Foil event. The Novice foil event will be open to any fencer who considers themselves a novice - for this event neither a CFF license nor the conductive bib on masks be required. Should there be more of 6 people of each gender in an event, the event may be separated. The tournament will be run out of Royal Oak Middle School on Travino Lane off West Saanich Road. The venue is easily accessible by the 70x and 72 buses from the ferry - if you need any help planning your trip, shoot me an email and I'll be glad to assist! Conductive bibs will be required for all foil participants except for in the novice event; if you have the conductive bib, you will be at a slight disadvantage. Fencing pants are recommended but not required. Ice cream will be awarded to all participants after they have been eliminated from the tournament, and additional prizes will be given to the top 4 competitors in each event.
