Spartan Open is an unsanctioned epee tournament held downstairs inside the Kaplan Center, 2 court gym. This is also a food drive for the Spartan Open Pantry so bring canned food for entry.
Introduction: Welcome to the UNCG Spartan Open 2024 epee charity tournament! This is a for fun unsanctioned tournament. Please read through this entire description to make sure that you qualify for this tournament and have all the information you need to come!
Date & Time: November 23rd 2024, Begin fencing at 11:00 am
Location: 1301 W Gate City Blvd, Greensboro, NC 27403 - Kaplan Center; Downstairs 2-court gym (feel free to ask venue staff for directions).
Registration: We will not be accepting registrations after November 21st. Limited to 24 participants.
Minimum Age: Unfortunately we will not be able to allow any minors to fence at this tournament. If you are under the age of 18 please do not register for this event as we cannot let you fence. Please bring a photo ID in case your age needs to be verified.
Payment information:
This is a charity event in support of the UNCG Spartan Open Pantry (SOP). No registration fees will be required, however, we are accepting cash or canned food donations at the front desk so that you can get a wristband to enter and leave the Kaplan Center.
Spectators coming to the event are also expected to bring canned food donations for the Spartan Open Pantry. The front desk will be handing out wristbands to spectators who bring food donations so that they may enter and leave the Kaplan Center freely.

Equipment Check: We will be testing gloves and masks at the check-in table. We also will not be able to provide extra equipment in case of failures so please come prepared with extras.

Parking: Lot 49 and Lot 50 are open for free parking during the weekend. Lot 49 is right next to the Kaplan Center and Lot 50 is a gravel lot that is right across the street from Lot 49.
