JV meet with 6 events, 1st wave at 9 AM = MF, ME & WS. 2nd is WF, WE & MS. JV fencers should 2 years or fewer of HS fencing. Open to schools of the Great Lakes Fencing Conference only.
Welcome to the Deerfield-Highland Park unsanctioned JV event. Fencers must be members of the Great Lakes Fencing Conference to participate and should have less than two years of HS Fencing Experience.
The event will be at Highland Park HS, 433 Vine Ave, Highland Park, IL 60035. We will be Fencing in the Indoor Track and the "Giant Gym" which is different from the "Exhibition Gym" in previous years. Please enter from the NORTH SIDE of the building, since there are several events happening that day. (Buses may have to move off-site to the Football Stadium located at 1040 Park Ave West, HP, IL 60035.)
We have decided to use askfred for registrations, despite some difficulties in the past. Registration closes at 11:59 PM Thursday, 11/7/2024.
PLEASE email toddkerschke@gmail on Friday a complete list of your competitors. We have had records dropped in the past, and we would like to add anyone back on Friday rather than scrambling to correct missing records on Saturday morning.
PLEASE text Todd your scratches when you get on the bus Saturday. We will be setting up Friday night, and I would rather have all the scratches come at once in the morning, rather than in dribs and drabs.
Highland Park HS is hosting the concession stand this year, not DHP Fencing. (Staff doesn't want us to duplicate the effort.) The hours are Noon to 4 PM, which is a little later than ideal. You may want to have your students bring a snack for the morning.
