Continuing our club tournament series with the Texas Fencing Academy Cup 1. We hope to see you there!
Tournament Series: Texas Fencing Academy will be hosting 5 tournaments throughout the upcoming season. You will be entered in our Sword raffle at the end of the series if you participate in 4 of the 5 tournaments. If you make it to all 5 you will get an additional entry in the raffle.
Tournament Fees:
$25.00 Registration fee
$20.00 per event
Requirements: All fencers must wear the required fencing attire and bring at least two working weapons and two working body cords and have at least an "Access Membership" in USFENCING. All events are sanctioned events and ratings will be awarded if the number of signups make it strong enough. Youth events must be at least a C1 to award ratings. Events listed below as "Santioned" are events where we may generate enough signups that ratings can be earned. Usually the Y8,Y10 and Y12 events are not large enough. SPecific information can be found on usafencing.org

Gym opens 1hr before first event
Tournament Format: All events will consist of one round of pools with 100% promotion to direct eliminations. Pools will generally consist of 6 or 7 fencers, with equal pool sizes whenever possible. All fencers will be promoted to a DE tableau.
Y10 Events: Direct elimination bouts are 10-touch bouts (2 three-minute periods with a one-minute break in between). During the break, one designated person (a teammate, coach, or parent) may be on the strip with the fencer.
Y12, Y14, and Open Events: DE bouts are 15-touch bouts (3 three-minute periods with a one-minute break in between). During the breaks, one designated person (a teammate, coach, or parent) may be on the strip with the fencer.
Awards: Medals will be awarded to the top eight finishers in each event.
Liability Waiver: By entering this tournament, you agree to abide by the current rules of the USFA and other applicable rules instituted by Texas Fencing Academy. You acknowledge that you are entering this tournament at your own risk and release the USFA, its sponsors, Texas Fencing Academy, and referees from any liability. By entering, you give consent to Texas Fencing Academy to obtain medical care from any licensed physician, hospital, or clinic for any injury or illness that may arise during activities associated with this tournament.
Parking: Participants should plan on dropping off their fencers and then parking at the North Lamar Transit Center a short 7min walk up the road.
Refund Policy: No refunds will be given once we are within 7 days of the tournament. Refunds prior to that point will refund the event fee only.
