We will do our best to keep event time changes within 60 mins of the original posting. 

This 6th San Diego Cup Youth Foil Event of the season is USFA Sanctioned. "Youth Cup" events are limited to Y14, Y12, and Y10 age groups. Y8 events are unsanctioned.

Medals: given to top 4 finishers for SD Cup events and top 3 for Y8. Points for all “SD Cup" Youth events will accumulate to name champions at the end of the season.

Events Scheduled:

Y14 Men's Foil 8:00am

Y14 Women's Foil 9:00am

Y12 Men's Foil 11:00am

Y12 Women's Foil 12:30pm

Y10 Men's Foil 2:30pm

Y10 Women's Foil 2:30pm

Y8 Mixed Foil (unsanctioned) 4:00pm

If less than 5 fencers are registered for any one event, we may choose to combine the men and women into a mixed event but with separate final results.

USFA Birth Year Requirements for 2023-2024:

Y8 - Born between 2015 - 2017

Y10 - Born between 2013 - 2016

Y12 - Born between 2011 - 2014 OR on Y10 NRPS

Y14 - Born between 2009 - 2012 OR on Y12 NRPS

Preregistration opens on 08/11/2023.

Preregistration closes on *02/09/2024.

All registrants Not PAID by the pre-registration deadline will be considered Same-Day pricing ($50).

Tournament Format:

Standard - Single round of pools, 100% promotion to single Direct elimination table. There will be medals for the top 4 finishing fencers in each event.

Equipment Check: Current USFA rules will be applied. Mask and glove checks will be done at the armory table. Gloves with holes, rips, tape, or lose seams will not be approved. Masks with their seals insecure, missing, pulled up, or back straps missing or broken will not be approved. Come prepared with appropriate and clean gear.

Fencers will need a Foreign Competitive membership with USA Fencing https://member.usfencing.org/
