ARK-LA-MISS DIVISION QUALIFIER March 8-9, 2014 **Annual Membership Meeting will take place after fencing on Saturday, March 8, 2014** Due to recent board action making Cadet events at Summer Nationals open registration, CADET qualifier events will not be fenced. PLEASE READ ALL INFORMATION CAREFULLY -- YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR KNOWING IT ALSO CHECK YOU ASKFRED CONTACT INFORMATION TO MAKE SURE IT IS CURRENT! After February 16th, registration is $70 and $10 per event NO payments post marked or FAXed after March 4th will be accepted! Credit Cards will not be accepted after midnight March 3rd! Cash or Checks accepted. Credit cards are accepted on askFRED.net. You may pay for USFA membership at the door with check or credit cards. You may mail checks to 447 N. Any event having less than 4 registered (paid and cleared) competitors one week out from the tournament (that would be at the end of business on March 1st, 2014) will NOT be fenced. The fencers registered (paid) in those events will be considered the only qualifiers in that event. Awards given to top 3 for Div 2/3 and top 2 for Y14 Original seeding will be based on classification (e.g., B13, C11, etc.). Initial seeding, seeding after pools and final placements will be posted in the venue. Unlike most regional tournaments, third place bout WILL be fenced. Division patches are awarded for non-contested individual qualifiers, but no other awards will be given. All fencers must be current competitive members of the USFA and citizens or permanent residents of the United States. Fencers may join the USFA at the door. Please bring your completed USFA membership form and signed waiver with you. USFA cards must be presented at check-in if you do not appear on or if your classification is different from the Current Members List located online here:http://www.almdiv.org/BusinessDivision/MEMBERSHIPS/currentmembership.htm . Fencers under 18 must have any new membership form and a waiver signed by parents. Waiver may be downloaded from the ALM website and signed by parents prior to the tournament. There are NO alternates for any competition at the USFA Summer Nationals Championship tournament. Classifications can be awarded at a Division/Section Summer Nationals qualifying. Cadet and Y14 events must be C1 or greater for a classification to be rated. An athlete is permitted to fence in the qualifying competitions of the Division/Section reflected in his/her current USFA membership only IF: 1) The athlete is a U.S. citizen OR permanent resident of the United States and a current competitive member of the USFA And 2) The athlete's birth year falls in that age bracket OR 3) The athlete is on the national rolling point standings in the next younger age bracket
