Athena Youth Epee Cup offers a structured and welcoming competition experience for Y10, Y12, and Y14 fencers focused on development, confidence, and sportsmanship.

Y10 Mixed Epee (Born 2016 or later): 9:00 AM
Y12 Women’s Epee (Born 2014 or later): 10:30 AM
Y12 Men’s Epee (Born 2014 or later): 11:00 AM
Y14 Women’s Epee (Born 2012 or later): 12:00 PM
Y14 Men’s Epee (Born 2012 or later): 1:00 PM
Please arrive at least 30 minutes before your event start time to check in, prepare equipment, and complete weapons check.
Disclaimer: Event start times are estimates and may change depending on registration numbers. All fencers must arrive and check in on time. Competitions will begin promptly and late arrivals may not be accommodated.

Footwear Policy
Athena Fencing Club has a no outdoor shoe policy. Please bring clean indoor fencing shoes to change into before entering the fencing area.
Parking, Transit & Spectators
There is free street parking around the club, but space can be limited - we recommend carpooling whenever possible to help ease congestion.
For those taking transit, both Brentwood and Holdom SkyTrain stations are about a 12-minute walk from the club.
Due to space limitations, we unfortunately cannot accommodate indoor spectators. However, you're welcome to watch from outside if you’d like!
Payment & Refunds
Payment is collected online during registration or via e transfer. No payments will be accepted at the door.
Full refunds are available until 48 hours before the event. No refunds will be issued after this time unless the event is canceled.
Equipment
This is an electric epee event. Please bring all your own gear and make sure it’s in working order — we won’t have loaner gear available.
Required equipment includes:
- Electric epee
- Body cord
- Mask
- Jacket
- Plastron (underarm protector) – required for all participants
- Chest protector – required for girls
- Fencing pants
- Fencing socks that cover the knee
- Glove
- Indoor fencing shoes
Please make sure all equipment is in safe and working condition. Weapons and body cords will be checked before the event begins.
Zero Tolerance Policy
Athena Fencing Club is committed to providing a respectful and inclusive environment for all participants.
We have zero tolerance for abusive, aggressive, or unsportsmanlike behaviour toward referees, athletes, volunteers, or other attendees. Anyone violating this policy may be asked to leave without refund.
Prizes
Medals will be awarded to the top four fencers in each event.
