AFM Inaugural Team Event - come with your friends to fence on a team in a fun and supportive environment! Train before two big national team events - in April NAC and Summer Nationals.
AFM Inaugural Team Competition is for Senior Teams to compete in a friendly and fun environment. Come with your two or three friends to compete as a team.
The format will be fence all matches in top 8 (or maybe even in top 16, depending on the number of teams registered), so you'll get a lot of experience fencing different teams and people. Fence-off for a third place
We will do a self reffing - each team will alternate their non-fencing teammate to officiate a bout.
It is fun and a great practice, important before Div1 Team Championship a week later and Summer Nationals Team event.
Seniors only!
We hope there will be enough men and women's teams to keep this competition gender-specific. Even 3 teams in each gender will suffice to make it separate. If only 3 or 4 teams in a gender will sign up, we will do round-robin between them to determine the tableau. If more - then we will do DE from the start.
We will try to do the seeding similar to the nationals based on rating/ranking.
Competition will start at 8am, so we will have enough time.
Refunds will be issued in full if emailed no later than end of Friday, April 17. No refunds after that for whatever reason.
