AFM Veteran Epee Tournament for veteran epee fencers of both genders
AFM Veteran Epee Cup is for veteran epee epee fencers. This is event #4 in the series of several tournaments. At the conclusion of the series at the end of the season, a trophy will be awarded for each category based on the overall performance in the series. The events are sanctioned by the USA Fencing and rating will be awarded.
These events are perfect for any veteran fencer as they will run in a friendly and supportive environment.
Please note that in case of insufficient participation we will combine Men's and Women's events into one. Our goal is to have at least 15 fencers in each event for rating eligibility.
Medals will be awarded to the top 4 fencers in each event - one Gold, one Silver and Two Bronze medals.
This is the first of five tournaments we plan to run during the season. Based on the overall performance of the fencers in all events, we will award a trophy to the winners in each category. The trophy will be awarded after the last tournament of the season. The points from each individual competition will be based on that competition's final placement and on the number of competitors, with 1st place getting 100 points.
For example, if there were 25 participants in the event, then 1st place would receive 100 points, 2nd place would receive 96 points, etc.
Points from all series tournaments will be added to determine the winners in each age/gender category.
Payment should be processed by askFred to register. Unpaid entries will be counted as walk-ins, and walk-in fees will be charged (in cash or check only).
Registration fees are $10. Event fees are $60 per event. Walk-in fees are $100 per event and registration fee is $20. Walk-ins will be admitted only at the discretion of the bout committee based on the available capacity.
Refunds: Withdrawal and refund requests should be emailed two weeks before the event. After that, refunds or credits will not be processed, regardless of the reason, including medical.
Only event fees are refunded. Registration fees are not refundable.
