USA FENCING MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENT

A minimum of ACCESS membership is required.

SEEDING AND POOLS

  1. Seeding will be based on the usual rating and classification system.
  2. After normal seeding, pools will be based on which high school the fencer attends first before considering the fencer's club.
  3. PLEASE NOTE: It is possible that there may be fencers from the same fencing club in pools who attend different high schools. The idea is to keep fencers representing the same high school from fencing each other, not necessarily from the same fencing club. Pools may be changed if necessary to keep in line with USA Fencing protocols after normal seeding and high school consideration.

AWARDS

All events will have separate individual and high school team awards.

  1. Individual awards: Top 4 fencers in each event will receive medals and ratings, if earned.
  2. High school awards: A separate point system will be used for high schools who have a team. A high school team is considered as having a minimum of 3 fencers, male and/or female. Each fencer can fence in multiple events. You may enter as many fencers as you would like, however, only the top 3 fencers in each event count toward team points. Awards to winner of each event and for the school with the most points overall.

EQUIPMENT

-Masks and gloves will be inspected.

-Working electrical equipment is the responsibility of the fencer. There will not be equipment for sale.

-THIS IS A SANCTIONED USA FENCING EVENT. All fencers must wear a plastron, knickers (no sweats permitted), socks that cover the entire lower leg up to the knickers, chest protection must be FIE compliant (with foam padding), FIE saber gloves, no rips, tears or holes in your uniform.

PARKING INFORMATION

Please park in the free, large parking lot between Lutheran West and Target not in the fenced in parking lot. Enter at the Athletic Entrance with the red awning closest to the field. The athletic entrance is on the other side on Linden. If you enter the fenced lot, there is a road that will lead you to the other parking.
