Learn about this fast and dynamic Paralympic sport by participating in a fun and exciting developmental novice competition!
Come join us for the inaugural event of the SoCal Parafencing League! Partially paralyzed (Hemi or Paraplegic), mobility impaired, limb deficient, or an amputee and ready to try something new? Parafencing (wheelchair or seated fencing) offers opportunities for para-athletes or full-bodied athletes with a disability to enjoy an exciting Paralympic Competitive Sport! Ideally, participants will have tried Parafencing at one of the many adaptive sports events organized by either the Triumph Foundation or Angel City Sports. Special Guests: US Paralympic Fencers Gerard Moreno and Mario Rodriguez will be in attendance to offer their support and encouragement.

Location: McCambridge Park & Recreation Center, 1515 North Glenoaks Blvd, Burbank 91504
Entry Fee: N/A
Age Eligibility: All participants must be born in 2011 or earlier.
Check-in Close Time: All competitors must be checked-in and ready to go by 10am. The event will start approximately 15 minutes after the close of check-in. The venue will open at 9am.
Format: One round of pools with 100% promotion to direct elimination.
Equipment: All equipment will be provided! Participants must wear sweats or long pants that cover the legs.
Eligible Impairment Types: Impaired muscle power, involuntary writhing (athetosis), impaired passive range of movement, muscle overactivity (hypertonia), limb deficiency, impaired coordination (ataxia), leg length difference.
