This tournament is eligible for NJ Cup Points
See point standings at: http://askfred.net/Results/pointsLists.php
Points are earned in your top six(6) results at New Jersey Division-sanctioned Open Tournaments from August 1, 2011 thru May 31, 2012. New Jersey Cups are awarded in each weapon/gender based on points accumulated in New Jersey Division Opens during the fencing season. The Cups are available to any fencer who competes in NJ Division-sanctioned Opens. One does not have to be a NJ Division member to earn points and win a Cup.
NJ Cup Calculation
Every NJ Division Open is part of the points list in that weapon/gender. Only a fencer's best six results become part of their point total. The points earned in a particular tournament depend on how many rated fencers a competitor finishes better than, where an A-rated fencer is worth seven points, a B-rated one is worth six points, a C-rated one is worth 5 points, etc. A fencer earns the point value of each fencer above whom they finish. A fencer earns more points for finishing higher in events with more, stronger competitors.
=======================================================================================================================================================
CADET SERIES. NJFA Cadet Series Points will be awarded to all finishers in inverse order of finish. Follow point totals on FRED. Top 3 point finishers in each event will be awarded NJFA Cadet Series prizes at the final event of the season. Each tournament however is stand-alone; there is no need to be in pursuit of Series points to participate. Should there be a tie in final point totals the fencer with the highest finish in the final event will be declared the winner. Series dates: Sep 23-24, May 19-20, June 9-10. See point standings at: http://askfred.net/Results/pointsLists.php
