12th Annual Bruno Invitational Epee Tournament

The Rogue Fencers Guild presents the 12th annual Bruno Invitational Epee Tournament. It is held at the Bruno & George Winery in Sour Lake, TX.

REGISTRATION FEE: $40.00 (includes entry to the wine-tasting) All fencing fees to be paid in CASH! (exact change)

This event is limited to fencers 21 years of age or older. $10.00 of the registration applies to the wine-tasting, which begins for each fencer upon being eliminated.

Fencer should know in advance that, due to space considerations, the fencing pistes will not be of regulation length.

Barring rain or excessive heat, this event will be held outdoors (under a tent) with an outdoor bar nearby. If the weather does not cooperate we will move into the wine making room.

This is a closed tournament. Priority of place will go to those who have competed in it previously. There is a maximum cap of 16 fencers (two pools of eight). Please do not pre-register if you do not think you can attend. Please do not pre-register if you are younger than the legal drinking age in Texas.

The registration is applied to the wine-tasting event for the competitors, which begins for each upon being eliminated, and the prizes. First place wins four bottles of their choice of wines. Second place wins three bottles. Third place (tie) fencers win two bottles each.

Non-fencing guests are welcome and may participate in the wine-tasting ($10.00). Those only participating in the wine tasting do not pre-register on FRED, but may message the organizers at john@trojanowski.com simply to let us keep a good estimate of our numbers.

This is an outdoor tournament. Be sure to stay hydrated... with water!

All awards will be wine from our hosts, the Bruno & George Winery. This is, obviously, not an event for youths.
