The first opportunity to earn your 2019 rating! Proceeds from this event will benefit Transitions Hospice of Raleigh. Entry is 30$ for first event and 25$ for any following. 5$ off first event for college students or A rated fencers.

Nancy Turgeon Memorial Open January 1, 2019 Nancy Turgeon was a loving mother and wife, she passed away in November of 2018. In her final days the volunteers, doctors, and nurses gave Nancy and her family much needed comfort and peace. Nancy was a strong woman who battled cancer for eight years but never lost her sense of humor or her love for her family. She touched everyone she met with her heart and with her quick wit. She was a fantastic mother and wife. She will be missed. ---------- Registration Information ---------- $30 registration fee for first event $25 for any additional events $5 discount for college undergraduates and A-rated fencers ---------- Venue Information ---------- The event will be held at: Research Triangle Fencing 3742 Durham Chapel Hill Blvd Suite A-2 Durham NC 27707 ---------- Tournament Rules ---------- All fencers must be current competitive members of the USA Fencing. You may join or renew your membership at the door. Full regulation uniform according to USA Fencing rules is required, including plastron, knickers, and knee-length socks. No jeans or sweatpants allowed. Names are NOT required on fencer uniforms. Masks with electric bibs are required for all foil events. ---------- Age Eligibility ---------- Eligibility is based on birth year, regardless of the specific day/month: Open: Born in 2005 or earlier Y10: 2008-2011 Y14: 2004-2007 Age eligibility exceptions based on National Points also apply.
