“More Info” for Tournaments

IMPORTANT: Events will be capped at 28 fencers each.

LOCATION: Iconic Fencing Club

340 Quinnipiac Street, Building 24, Floor 3

Wallingford, Connecticut 06492

We are located in the building to the right after turning into the plaza at 340 Quinnipiac St.

Follow the signs on the side of the building to get to the entrance on the ground floor and go up the stairs!

All times are END OF REGISTRATION and will be strictly observed. All fencers must be registered and have checked-in at the venue PRIOR to the time posted for their event. No exceptions!

Walk-ins are welcome, but will only be admitted to the event if the event cap has not been reached.

Refer to the USFA 2025-26 Age and Classification Chart for age and classification restrictions for each event: https://www.usafencing.org/age-classification-eligibility

Youth events are UNSANCTIONED and will be combined mixed events to include Y14, Y12, Y10, and Y8. If IFC’s Bout Committee deems that there are enough youth fencers registered, they may at their sole discretion split the youth events into separate age groups. The decision will be communicated to the participants on the day of the event.

Open and Unrated events will be SANCTIONED, therefore all USFA rules must be adhered to, including those concerning the use of fencing equipment that conforms to the most recent USFA regulations.

You must have your own fencing equipment, including spare weapons and body/mask cords.

IFC will not be able to lend any equipment to anyone, including club members.

If an Unrated Mixed event has enough participants (min 6 men + 6 women) at the End of Registration Time, the Bout Committee may elect to propose to the participants to split the event into separate Men's and Women's events, and therefore allow for ratings to be awarded separately to the winner of each event. If proposed, this change of format must be approved by unanimous vote by all participants prior to the start of competition.

If any event has less than 3 participants, the Bout Committee may cancel the event. In case of cancellation, entry fees will be refunded to those who had already signed up and paid for the event that is being cancelled.

Refer to the USFA Athletes Handbook for more information:

https://www.usafencing.org/athlete-handbook

All fencers MUST be active members of the USFA at a membership level that allows them to compete (ACCESS level or above).

Proof of membership will be required during check-in.

See link below for more information and to sign up to the USFA:

Open and Unrated Senior events are sanctioned and will award ratings according to the most recent USFA Classification Chart:
