This is a series of tournaments for absolute beginner fencers - and a place for parents to learn what to do for their fencer when at a tournament. Fencers must be USFA members to participate.
This is a series of tournaments for absolute beginner fencers - and a place for parents to learn what to do for their fencer when at a tournament. They are intended to be "training tournaments" for fencers and parents alike. Other Rising Stars events are scheduled for April 23. We plan to schedule a final in June along with a potluck for all fencers and families. All fencers must be USFA members at the time of the tournament. You may purchase a one day membership for $10; however, if you plan on fencing in all Rising Stars plus the other youth tournaments in the area, you should purchase a full membership. Fencers must have the proper attire and electric fencing equipment to participate. Please wear knickers with long socks.
