NEUSFA , 2016 Pomme De Terre Individual

New England Division USFA (NEUSFA) will hold the 28th Annual Pomme de Terre fencing tournament at Brandeis University on June 18 & June 19, 2016. Medals and potato specific prizes (PSPs) are awarded to top 8 in individual events. Medals awarded to top 3 teams in team events. Teams fence off for third place. FORMAT: Vet and E and Under are 100% promotion from pools to Direct Elimination. Opens are 80% promotion from pools to Direct Elimination. REMINDER: Event Restrictions: You may fence in only one individual event event per day (exception if also qualified for a Vet event). If you are in two events on the same day, (Vet and individual or individual and team) you MUST present yourself at the appropriate strip when called. ELIGIBILITY Birth year 2002 or earlier. In any tournament where children can fence with adults, the fencer must be 13 by January 1 of the competition season (August - July). All fencers must be a member of the USFA or of the fencing federation of their country (e.g., the CFF) Please bring proof of current membership. Checkin will be scanned and you will need your card. If you intend to join the USFA specifically to participate in this event, it is best to bring your paperwork and join when you check-in. You must have a competitive membership for this event. COST Individual Events Registration Fee (per fencer): - thru May 28: $30.00 includes t-shirt - May 29 - June 4: $60.00 - June 5 - walkin $90.00 Entry Fees (per event): - thru May 28: $40.00 - May 29 - June 4: $80.00 - June 5 - walkin $120.00 TEAM EVENTS All team events are $75.00 and registration closes on March 28 for teams. There is no extension of the team deadline. Team events are limited to 8 teams and no more than two per club unless less than 8 register by the deadline. REFUNDS - For refund of event fee(s), withdrawals must be received in writing no later than June 4, 2016. Registration fees are nonrefundable. Absolutely no refunds after June 4. Refunds will be processed no later than 4-6 weeks following the tournament. We are not responsible for any askfred website outages and will not make fee adjustments for this reason. Please register in a timely manner to avoid any payment issues on askfred. Payment is required with registration; unpaid preregistrations will be periodically deleted. To receive a free t-shirt and avoid late registration fees, you must register by Saturday May 28. Registering early helps us to ensure that we have enough qualified referees for this tournament.
