This event is open to 6th-8th graders (and younger if experienced!). It is unsanctioned which means that no ratings can be earned but USFA rules apply. However,you must be a USFA (competitive or non-competitive) member and show proof at the door!

It is unsanctioned which means that no ratings can be earned but USFA rules apply. $30 entry fee at door if preregistered. $40 for walk-ins (that have not preregistered here on AskFred by 2/20/16). For more info, click "More Info"! Close of Check-in times: ****Experienced Youth fencers are welcome! Please email Medeo if you would like to be able to register if younger than 6th grade. (Fencers should be ready to fence by this time!) Youth 12 Welcome! Y14 Women's Unsanctioned Epee: 10:00 AM Y14 Women's Unsanctioned Foil: 10:15 AM Y14 Women's Unsanctioned Saber: 1:00 PM Y14 Men's Unsanctioned Epee: 10:00 AM Y14 Men's Unsanctioned Foil: 10:15 AM Y14 Men's Unsanctioned Saber: 1:00 PM All fencers MUST: 1) Wear full uniform* (including knickers and any-color knee-hi socks) and working lamé (metal jacket for foil and sabre). 2) Have 2 working electric weapons, 2 body cords and 2 mask cords (mask cords for not applicable to epee). 3) Have a current non-competitive (or competitive) USFA membership. (See below on how to easily obtain one!) 4) Check in at the office (or with your school representative if they are providing a list) upon arrival. *Absolute Fencing Gear retailer is located around the corner from Medeo and is open on Sundays for your convenience! Main St., Unit G* Bridgewater, NJ 08807 Ph. 732-469-2244 *Unit G as you come in off of Main Street is the first building on your right. Also as you enter is our parking lot! **Alternative address for GPS: 30 Kearney Street will bring you to the entrance of our industrial park (and next to Absolute Fencing Gear). Please note that once you turn onto Kearney St. (into our industrial park and next to Absolute Fencing Gear retailers), you will turn RIGHT at the street before the Star-Ledger building. (First street on the right.) We are then located all the way at the end on the left. Please take down our number and call our office if you feel you might be a few minutes late or if you need directions: 732-469-2244 Preregistration on Askfred: Signing up on Askfred is appreciated so that we can gauge the number of fencers that will show up. Payment by cash or check will be made at the door. Exact change is appreciated! Checks should be made out to: Medeo Fencing Club. Event fee is $30(per event) if preregistered here on AskFred. $40 if you do not preregister. A non-competitive USFA membership is required so please note that a separate payment of $5 made to USA Fencing may also be necessary! Preregistration closes on Saturday, 02/22/2014. Also, if your child is in Middle School and does not meet the age requirements when preregistering here at AskFred, please email us at medeofencing@aol.com for assistance. USFA Non-Competitve (or competitive) Memberships can be paid for at the door or here to save time. You can also hand in the paper form at the door with payment to save time. If it is your first time creating an account on AskFred, please note that although they ask for a USFA membership number, it is fine to sign in without one. In other words, that space can be left blank while creating the account for your child. Absolute Fencing Gear: Shop while you are here!
