The 2026 Battle in Seattle Veteran Events

at Rain City Fencing Center in Bellevue, WA

The Battle in Seattle is the Western Washington Division's largest annual event, drawing fencers from all over the country. Join us on the evening before the Battle for some great veteran fencing!

The veteran events are not part of the ROC, so you will not earn qualification by fencing this event. You must fence in the ROC events on the weekend to qualify.

---------- Schedule ----------

Equipment check will open at 5:00pm on Friday 1/16/26, and check-in for all events closes at 6:00pm. Fencing will start shortly thereafter.

Arrive early to get your equipment checked! We will be running on a strict schedule so your promptness is appreciated.

Fencers may NOT fence in two simultaneous events without the prior permission from the bout committee.

All events will be fenced as a single round of pools, 100% promoted to direct-elimination, no fence-off for third.

Mixed events will award separate medals to the top 3 finishing men and women.

Registration fees will vary depending on when you make your payment:

Before 11:59pm PST on Friday December 31, 2025:

- $10 registration fee

- $30 per event

After December 31, 2025, fees will double:

- $20 registration fee

- $60 per event

All tournament fees must be pre-paid on AskFRED.

---------- Tournament Rules ----------

All fencers must be current competitive members of the USFA. Foreign fencers must have a current "International Competitive License" membership.

Full USFA regulation uniform is required, including plastron, knickers, and knee-length socks. No jeans or sweatpants allowed. Names are NOT required on fencer uniforms.

USFA rules require that all participants were born in 1986 or earlier.

Athletes may be accompanied at the venue by one guest. All guests except for coaches must remain upstairs on the mezzanine. Only athletes, officials, and coaches are allowed on the fencing floor.

Please arrive early to allow time for equipment checks. We will be checking masks, lames, gloves, bodycords and headcords.
