NJFA Youth - All Weapons

This is an opportunity to gain valuable tournament experience and also be involved in the NJFA Youth Cup Series if you wish. It is not necessary to participate in the Cup to enter the tournament. This is the seventh event in the 2006-07 NJFA Youth Cup Series. All youth events held from October 2006 through June 2007 are eligible. Points will be awarded for first 5 places in each event. Points will be cumulative and prizes will be awarded to the top 3 finishers in each event at the last tournament of the series (tentatively scheduled for June 24, 2007) Fees are: $25. for paid preregistration $30. for unpaid preregistration (payment at door) $35. at the door Cash or checks only for payment at the door. $50. fee for returned checks. NO CREDIT CARDS. No refunds will be issued unless (1) request is received prior to close of preregistration or (2) NJFA cancels the event All fencers must wear required fencing attire and bring at least 2 weapons and 2 body cords. NOTE: If you are fencing in a Y10 event - you must have a #2 or #0 blade... Preregistration is necessary for planning. If you plan on coming, but don't wish to pay online, please pre-register without payment so that we can have an adequate number of Directors on hand. You must have valid USFA membership - you MUST show your USFA card or have proof that payment has been made. You may join at the door - but please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before the close of check-in in order to fill out the USFA membership forms. Fencers must meet USFA birth year requirements. Youth events do not use the E1 or D1 classifications. This means that these events are “NR” until they achieve a C1 level or higher. 2006-2007 USFA Birth Year Eligibility: Y14 1992-1995; Y12 1994-1997; Y10 1996-1999 Y8 1998-2000* *Note, Y8 is not a USFA category and the Y8 event is not sanctioned by the NJ Division. The event is just for fun and practice for younger fencers and participation is at parent discretion.
