Only Competitive members of the Northeast Division can enter this qualifier. (to be eligible to join the Northeast Division, you must have a residence, belong to a club or school in New Hampshire or Maine) Championships are held in Charlotte, NC February 16 - 19, 2024 To participate in Junior Olympic Championships you must qualify through this event or through National Points list.

SCHEDULE

Event times are subject to change and fencers will be notified on 11/26 of any changes

FORMAT

Events will fence one round of pools to a Direct Elimination Format.

REGISTRATIONS AND FEES:

Entry Fee for contested events $35

Entry Fee for uncontested events $25

Contested Events:

Only events with 4 or more preregistered fencers on or by 11/25 will be contested. For contested events only, walk-in entries will be allowed, but those not preregistered must pay a $50 entry fee (per event).

Uncontested Events:

Entries should be received no later than 12/6 and mailed to Portland Fencing Center 1037 Forest Avenue Portland, Maine 04103 in order to attend Championships in Charlotte, NC. (Entries fees must be paid to qualify)

Events with 3 or less entries on 11/25 will not be contested. All pre-registered fencers will qualify no entries allowed at the door.

Events with no entries on 11/25 will be cancelled, and no entries will be allowed at the door.

Fencers will be informed that they have qualified and told how to pay your entry fee.

Preregistration closes on 11/25/2022. Please bring exact change. Sorry we do not accept Credit Cards.

Times listed are close of check-in. Fencers should plan on arriving at the venue one hour prior to the start of the event to allow time to check-in and warm-up.

ELIGIBILITY AND UNIFORM REQUIREMENTS:

Valid USA Fencing Competitive or Access membership is required.

Fencers must be in full whites including knickers, plastrons and long socks.

PARENTS, COACHES AND SPECTATORS:

We value creating a healthy sport environment for our fencers. Please show encouragement to all fencers.

Leave officiating to the officials.

Volunteer if you want to be more involved: bout committee, food runs, photography or becoming an armorer are just a few ways our community can be supported.
