Skirmish at Tryon Palace

We are once again having an outdoor event at historic Tryon Palace on the south lawn.
THE SKIRMISH IS RETURNING. Salle New Bern is hosting our outdoor epee tournament again. We have gotten permission to host our tournament at the beautiful grounds of Tryon Palace. The tournament will be held on the south lawn.
Entry fee is $40. Payment is by cash or check only. As an additional incentive, "A" rated fencers are not charged an entrance fee. This event will be capped at 42.
Parking will be available at a couple of parking lots off South Front Street. There is a side gate on Metcalf Street you can enter so you don't have as far to go.
THIS IS AN OUTDOOR EVENT. Remember to stay hydrated and wear sunscreen. A past competitor mentioned the strange sunburn she got through her mask. Unfortunately, we do not have an alternate site in case of inclement weather. An announcement will be made 48 hours before if we need to cancel the event if the weather is not going to cooperate.
USA Fencing membership is required.
CHANGE *ADDITION* we are now providing lunch for this event. We will have a lunch break between pools and the direct elimination round. We are assuming a count of "participates and a plus 1" unless you let us know if you have any more people with you.
