San Diego Junior Olympic Qualifiers

This a qualifying event only open to members of the San Diego Division of the USFA. Events Scheduled and registration closing times: Cadet (U17) Women's Epee 11:30am Cadet (U17) Women's Foil 11:30am Cadet (U17) Women's Saber 2pm Cadet (U17) Men's Epee 11:30am Cadet (U17) Men's Foil 11:30am Cadet (U17) Men's Saber 2pm Junior (U20) Women's Epee 9am Junior (U20) Women's Foil 9am Junior (U20) Women's Saber 1pm Junior (U20) Men's Epee 9am Junior (U20) Men's Foil 9am Junior (U20) Men's Saber 1pm Preregistration closes on 12/4/2010 Any changes will be posted a month before the tournament. Format: Pools only- Round of pools, 50% promotion to each subsequent round of pools, final pool at a minimum pool of six (6), no direct elimination round. If there nine (9) or fewer competitors in any event, a single (1) round robin pool will be fenced to determine qualifier, no direct elimination. There will be medals for the top three finishing fencers in each event. Any changes to this format will be posted a month ahead of time if not sooner. Volunteers: Please help us run the events even smoother by volunteering. Fencers and supporters alike will benefit from learning the process from start to finish. This knowledge will assuredly give you a competitive edge. Officials: If you'd like to be an official referee, time keeper or floor judge for an event, please contact us as well. Fencers: Please bring proof of current USFA membership or register on-site. You will only be allowed to participate in a second event if you're finished with the first. Preregistered events cost $10 otherwise it's $15 at the door. Mask checks are mandatory.
