Oregon Regional Youth Circuit #1 Date: Dec. 4, 2004 Location: NorthWest Fencing Center, Beaverton, Oregon Join us for the Oregon Division's first Regional Youth Circuit event. This is a qualifying event for Y10 & Y12 fencers who are not on the USFA national point list. Y10 and Y12 fencers must attend at least one RYC during the season to qualify for the Youth NAC in April or 2005 Summer Nationals. The Oregon Division will also hold an Open and Team Tournament on Sunday Dec. 5, 2004, so fencers visiting from out of the area may wish to stay for an extra day of fencing. ------------ Event Schedule ------------ All RYC events are on Saturday, December 4th. Times shown are close of registration. 9:00 am: -- Doors Open 9:30 am: -- Y12 Epee -- Y12 Foil -- Y12 Saber 11:30 am: -- Y10 Epee -- Y10 Foil -- Y10 Saber 1:30 pm: -- Y14 Epee -- Y14 Foil -- Y14 Saber Each event will be fenced mixed unless there are at least 12 boys and 12 girls at the event, in which case the event will be fenced separately by gender. Awards will be given separately by gender whether the events are fenced mixed or separately. ------------ Registration Information --------------- Registration fee is $15 ($10 if preregistered through AskFred) plus $10 per event. Tournament fees can be paid in cash or check (US$ only) made out to Oregon Division. Fencers may register for only 1 event per age group. ------------ Tournament Rules ------------ Proof of USFA membership (or equivalent) will be required of all participants at check-in. Please bring your current USFA membership card. You may join or renew your USFA membership at the door. All weapons will be scored electrically. We will inspect and mark masks, lames, and body cords. Full USFA regulation uniform is required, including plastron, knickers, and knee-length socks.
