George Mason FC Patriot Open 2022

This is the first George Mason University Fencing Club tournament and will have Senior Mixed AND D & Under events with medals to the 8. $30 event Fee must be PrePaid here on AskFred. Run by the VA Division, all net proceeds go directly to the GMU Fencing Club. The VA Division runs this and ALL collegiate club events for the club at a net neutral cost and does not pay any executive committee member to assist in running it. PLEASE READ MORE INFO SECT. FOR COVID REQ's. The George Mason University Fencing Club has organized this event with the VA Division, and the division promises a well run tournament with highly rated referees and bout committee. Events will be competed on grounded metal strips at the Elite Fencing Academy in Springfield. $30 per event fee must be paid in advance here on AskFred. Unpaid preregistrations will be deleted after registration close date of 04/07/2022. Requests to be added to the event after tournament close MAY BE DECLINED, due to space or referee limitations. SATURDAY 1PM Senior Mixed Foil (capped at 42) 3:30PM Div3 Mixed Epee (capped at 28) 4:30PM Senior Mixed Saber (capped at 28) SUNDAY 9AM Senior Mixed Epee (capped at 42) 10:30 Div3 Mixed Foil (capped at 28) 2PM Div3 Mixed Saber (capped at 28) Caps may be adjusted due to demand. PROOF OF VACCINATION/NEGATIVE COVID Test Required for All Virginia Division Sanctioned Events The VA Division of USA Fencing requires proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test (3rd party test required, NO home tests) for all fencers, parents, volunteers and USFA Professional members for that event to be sanctioned by the Virginia Division. Confirmation of vaccination or negative COVID test will occur as you walk into the venue. No one without proof will be allowed into the venue at any time, no exceptions. Negative COVID test results (PCR or Rapid) cannot be more than 72 hours old from the day of the event the fencer is competing in. USA Fencing’s venue mask mandate is also still in effect, so all competitors, coaches, professional members will be required to wear a mask OVER THEIR NOSES, even while competing. WARNINGS will be officially issued by Bout Committee for people who do not comply. A 2nd warning will result in a BLACK CARD which will require you to leave the venue immediately. Preregistration opens on 03/08/2022. Preregistration closes on 04/07/2022.
