COBRA JUNIOR - ALL WEAPONS Sunday - Close of Check-in 8:30 Epee 9:00 Foil 1:00 Saber Events with less than 6 fencers of either gender will be mixed ENTRY Born 1991-1997, or on Cadet NRP List Fencers born after 1997 can compete if on Cadet NRP point standings. If your entry is rejected for age, contact us and we will handle your entry. - USFA rules apply. - Full USFA regulation uniform required. - Must have at least two working weapons and two body cords. - USFA or other foreign federation membership required. You may join/renew USFA at the door(parent signature required if under 18). One day memberships available - but only at http://www.usfencing.org USFA membership forms can be downloaded at http://usfencing.org/us-fencing-membership,or plan to come early to complete required paperwork. Fencers without proof of USFA or other federation membership must complete and pay for USFA membership. Checks for USFA membership must be made out to "USFA" or use credit card. Photography, filming, recording, or any other form of media of the athlete during the tournament can be used by Cobra Fencing Club and the USFA. Those wishing to opt out of media coverage must inform the Bout Committee.** ** Liability waiver - Upon entering this tournament you agree to abide by the current rules of the USFA and other applicable rules instituted by Cobra Fencing Club. You acknowledge you are entering this tournament at your own risk and release the USFA and its sponsors, Cobra Fencing Club, and referees from any liability. With entry you give consent to Cobra Fencing Club to obtain medical care from any licensed physician, hospital or clinic for any injury or illness that may arise during activities associated with this tournament. FEES - Registered AND Paid on-line -$35 per event. On-line registration/payment closes March 5, 2011. If you prefer to pay by check rather than with credit card through FRED, e-mail the organizer for mailing instructions - On event day if you are registered but not paid - $55 per event (payment at door) - Walk-in (without preregistration)-$55 per event (payment at door) Payments made at the door must be in cash or check only. Checks payble to "Cobra Fencing Club." CREDIT CARDS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Refund requests honored only if received at least 2 days prior to the event. FORMAT - Seeding: USFA Junior NRP ranking, then letter ranking with year classification. - Only official USFA ratings will be used. - Pools: One round of 5-touch/3 minute bouts. 100% advance to direct elimination rounds. - Direct Elimination: 15 touch/9-minute bouts. - No fence-off for third place. Medals awarded to Top 3. - Event is sanctioned by NJ Division of the USFA. Ratings can be awarded. Fencers are responsible for ensuring accuracy of all posted information and must report errors to the bout committee immediately.
