Under Gia Kvaratskhelia, the Notre Dame Head Fencing team won 6 National Championships - NCAA Champions 2011, 2012 & 2021, 2022, 2023
and 2026
This is the first of four quarterly camps with Coach Gia for the 2026-2027 season.
Maestros Mikhail and Arkadiy Sarkisov, the head coaches of GRAFA, will serve as instructors, along with Coach Gia.
Maestros holds a BS degree in Physical Education and Coaching from the Azerbaijan University of Physical Education and a Master's in Fencing.
They were Soviet Union gold medalists in 1985, medalists at the USSR Nationals from 1986-1989, and finalists at the World Cup and Student World Game competitions.
In 2005, Maestro Mikhail Sarkisov was recognized by the US Olympic Committee as Developmental Coach of the Year.
Many of his students compete successfully at the National and International levels.
Both Maestros coached 8 National (NAC) champions in the different age categories in foil and epee.
Several Maestro's students successfully fenced at the NCAA Championships, earning First Team All-American honors, All-American recognition, and All-American Honors, competing for universities such as Northwestern, Notre Dame, Boston College, UNC, Temple, NYU, and Cornell.
Tuition:
$280.00, including the meals. (Lunch and snacks are provided every day.)
FULL PAYMENT ($280) IS REQUIRED FOR THE FINAL APPROVAL TO RESERVE THE SPOT IN THE CAMP. This is on a first-come, first-served basis.
