Nazlymov Fencing is hosting the first UBS Fencing Series Tournament of the 2020-21 season. Review More Info for events description. Head Referee - Tokyo Olympics referee and NFF Head Coach - Fikrat Valiyev.

Venue: Nazlymov Fencing, 4800 Wisconsin Ave NW, Washington, DC 20016. The entrance to the club is on the 42nd Street side of the building. Put "GDS High School" into your navigation, you will see NFF signage when you reach the last stop sign. It is okay to use GDS parking next to our entrance or street/neighborhood. Cost: $10 registration fee + $50 for the first event, $25 for the second. $75 for walk-ins, who did not register fully through AskFred. Doors open at 8:30 AM. Event Schedule: 9:00 AM - Y10 & Y12 Mixed Sabre (Unsanctioned) - Fencers must be born between (2009-2014) - First Tournament? No problem, we will walk your fencer through every step! Make sure to arrive at 8:30 AM to participate in our team's warm-up and prep. - Children are likely to be grouped by age and level, medals for top 3 in each category, prizes to all participants - October Fairfax Challenge RYC (Y10, Y12, Y14) registration deadline is September 20th. Our tournament could be a stepping stone for your child to figure out if they want to compete in regional USA Fencing tournaments. 11:00 AM - E and Under Mixed Sabre (Sanctioned) - Fencers must be born in 2008 or earlier to participate - Ideal for Unrated, Intermediate Y14+ and Veteran fencers - Excellent tune-up for Y14, Cadet and Junior fencers planning to compete in Fairfax Challenge RYC/RJCC in October - An opportunity to earn a rating (registration must reach 15 entries) - All equipment must be in working order, 800 NW glove is required. We have equipment for sale, - body cords, blades, gloves, etc. 1:00 PM – Open Mixed Sabre (sanctioned) - Most participants are expected to be rated - Tune-up for October Fairfax Challenge RJCC and St. Louis NAC (Y14, Cadet, Senior) COVID Protocols: The club strictly follows DC COVID guidelines. All fencers must wear masks, submit to temperature checks upon arrival, and social distance throughout the tournament, regardless of vaccination status. New To Tournaments? You MUST show your USA Fencing card or have proof that payment has been made. All fencers are expected to wear the required fencing attire and bring at least two weapons, two body and two mask cords that meet USA Fencing requirements.
