Wasatch Challenge Cups

The Challenge Cups will give fencers with some or no tournament experience a chance to compete in an environment with little stress. While all U.S. Fencing rules regarding bouts will be followed, we keep the seeding process flexible to allow fencers to fence some bouts against other fencers with similar skills.

Fees:

• Registration fee: $10
• Event fee: $5 per event

U.S Fencing Membership Required

• All fencers must have a current Access or Competitive membership to participate.

Basic Information:

• Please arrive at least 10 minutes before the published check-in time. We suggest arriving 30 to 45 minutes early to allow fencers to warm up.
• Fencers must wear a full fencing uniform to compete, consisting of a mask, jacket, plastron chest protector, knickers, knee-high socks, and glove.
• Parents and fencers are encouraged to cheer for both fencers during bouts.
• Challenge Cups are used to teach fencers how to officiate bouts. Please support the efforts of all who are learning to officiate.

Medals

• 4 or fewer fencers - none
• 5 to 8 fencers - Top 2
• 9 to 15 fencers - Top 4
• 16 or more fencers - Top 8

• No refunds given after December 4
