Forge Summer Saber Slam + Referee Development

It is no secret that Region 6 is strong in saber, but we do not have enough skilled referees to support the growth and development in our area. Forge is happy to host the Forge Summer Saber Slam + Referee Development event! We are putting together strong saber events, hiring a diverse cadre of experienced and developing referees, and providing real time feedback and mentorship to support their development. All events are sanctioned and will be following USA Fencing rules and procedures. Stephen Pashby is our head referee and also a Certified Referee Observer (CRO) with USA Fencing. He will he leading the mentorship and referee development aspect.

Fencers, please support our event. This is a strong competitive opportunity leading up to Summer National Championships in Milwaukee, and it is a way to help support the development of referees in our area. Athlete requirements:

All events are "Senior" which means athletes born in 2011 or earlier. Must be current Access or Competitive member with USA Fencing. Equipment control will be checking masks, gloves, body cords, mask cords, and lame's. Ensure that all your equipment is in excellent tournament level condition.

Fees:

$5 registration fee, and $40 per event.

Awards:

Awards will be given to the top 4 in each event.

Registration Details: You will need to confirm your payment, and ensure that your USA Fencing Membership number and your Date of Birth are accurate in your askfred.net fencer profile.
