This is the 2025/2026 Virginia Division qualifier to the Junior Olympics (Cadet and Junior National Championships) to be held in Kansas City, MO from January 9th-January 12, 2026. The Virginia Division Qualifier will be held at AIC Fencing Club in Sterling, VA, with All Junior (U20) events held before the Cadet (U17) events on the same day. Junior or Cadet events with fewer than four competitors at registration close will NOT be held. NO WALK-INS AT ALL!

REGISTRATION FOR THIS EVENT WILL CLOSE ON WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 15th at MIDNIGHT! No exceptions to this will be made. At midnight, October 15th, ALL unpaid pre-registrations will automatically be deleted by AskFred. On the morning of the 16th, we will send a note out to those registered and paid for any event that does not have 4 or more PAID registrations stating that the event will not be held. Those pre-registered and paid will automatically qualify for that event at the Junior Olympics.

Junior age events will begin at 10AM. All Cadet events HELD will begin no earlier than 1PM unless otherwise communicated. (Event start times may be modified given the number of registrations, we will notifiy as early as possible)

Age Requirements:

Cadet: 2009-2012 (or on Y14 NRPS)

Junior: 2006-2012 (or on the Cadet NRPS)

It is possible on the day of the qualifier that a Junior event will qualify fencers registered in the Cadet event later that day. If, after all the math, there are 3 or fewer fencers remaining, that event will NOT be held. If you are registered for a Cadet event that is scheduled to be held, you must be checked in physically on site to be considered eligible, even if the Junior event renders it unnecessary. SORRY, there is not a better way to do that unfortunately.
