The first competition of the Socal Parafencing League Summer Series will be an E & under Epee event hosted by the Burbank Parafencing Center!

The SoCal Parafencing League Summer Series will offer three inclusive developmental competitions; Epee: E & under on June 21st, Foil: E & under on July 19th, and Sabre: E & under on August 23rd. These events will be the first inclusive fencing competitions open to Para, Vision-impaired, and Able-body participants. All competitors will fence sitting down using current parafencing rules and equipment. Blindfolds will be provided when fencing vision-impaired participants. Ideally, anyone interested in competing in these developmental tournaments will have tried fencing at one of the recent Triumph Foundation, Angel City Sports, or Casa Colina demonstrations. Please email the organizer if you have any questions regarding eligibility.

This unique and fun developmental competition is being hosted by the Burbank Parafencing Center. Able-bodied fencers in the SoCal area with an E rating and below are encouraged to participate!

Special Guests: Paralympic Fencers Gerard Moreno (4x) and Mario Rodriguez (4x) will be in attendance to encourage and support LA's new Parafencing community.

Referees: This event is a great opportunity for developing referees to practice and get introduced to the parafencing equipment and procedures. Please contact the organizer to volunteer as a referee at any of the three upcoming Summer Series events: Epee on June 21st, Foil on July 19th, and Sabre on August 23rd.

Volunteers: We are always looking for amazing volunteers to help out! No fencing experience is needed! Training on parafencing specific equipment will be necessary for potential LA28 volunteers. Please email the organizer for details.

Special thanks to The Burbank Leadership Program - Class of 2025 (certainly the best class) for their generation donation of parafencing frames, scoring machines, fencing wheelchairs, and additional equipment!
