FRED Announces the WWD Pat Muir Memorial Division Championships This is the final open Division tournament of the season. Men's andWomen's events will be fenced separately. Medals and trophies willbe awarded in all events. For fencers who compete in all threeweapons, men's and women's 3-weapon trophies will be awarded to thebest combined finishers. This event is only open to current members of the USFA WesternWashington Division. All members will earn points toward the WWDpoints list based on their placement in each event. The WWD will hold its annual membership meeting at noon on Saturday(see below for more information). ------------------ Important Info: ------------------- Tournament: WWD Pat Muir Memorial Division Championships Date(s): 05/31/2003 - 06/01/2003 Location: Salle Auriol Seattle ------------------ Schedule: -------------------------- Saturday 5/31/03: 9:30 am -- Doors Open 10:00 am -- Men's Foil Noon -- WWD Membership Meeting & Women's Epee 2:00 pm -- Women's Saber Sunday 6/01/03: 9:30 am -- Doors Open 10:00 am -- Men's Epee Noon -- Women's Foil 2:00 pm -- Men's Saber All times are close of registration. Arrive early to get yourequipment checked! Registration fee is $5 plus $10 dollars per evententered. Tournament fees can be paid in cash or check made out toUSFA/WWD. A $5 late fee will be charged if you do not pre-register by10pm on Friday, May 30th. There is no penalty for pre-registering andnot showing up. --- Tournament Rules --- All fencers must be current members of the USFA Western WashingtonDivision. Proof of USFA membership will be required of allparticipants at check-in, so please bring your membership card. Youmay join or renew your USFA membership at the door. All weapons will be scored electrically. We will inspect and markmasks, lames, and body cords. Full USFA regulation uniform is required, including plastron,knickers, and knee-length socks. No jeans or sweatpants allowed. --- Call for Directors --- The WWD is looking for qualified directors to assist in directingpools and DE bouts. If you can volunteer on one or both days, youwill be paid a $40 per diem and get a free lunch! AllWWD members are encouraged to attend.
