Clinton Fencing Open Foil - NJ Cup Event! Sunday, January 22, 2012 Open Senior Women's Foil 10:00 AM Open Senior Men's Foil 1:30 PM Preregistration opens on 11/18/2011. Preregistration closes on 01/20/2012. Pre-registration with payment - $35. Pre-registration and pay at the door - $40. Register at door (subject to space available) - $45 Women's Foil - 10:00am (limited to first 35 fencers). After 35 fencers are registered a waiting list will be available. Men's Foil - 1:30pm (limited to first 40 fencers). After 40 fencers are registered a waiting list will be available. Men's event may become mixed gender depending on the number of women fencers that pre-register for the womens event. "Senior" refers to a USFA requirement that all fencers participating in open events must have birth years of 1998 and earlier. Medals will be awarded to top 4 fencers. Format and Sanctioning: This tournament is sanctioned by the New Jersey Division of the USFA. The format consists of a round of pools with 100 percent promoted to the direct elimination round. There is no fence-off for third place. All fencers are expected to wear the required fencing attire and bring at least two weapons and body cords that meet USFA requirements. There are no exceptions to the attire and equipment rules. You must have a valid USFA membership or join the USFA at the event. Valid USFA membership is required. You must show your USFA card or have proof that payment has been made. . The Clinton Fencing Club is conveniently located just off of Route 78 West (exit 20A) in the Cokesbury Road Industrial Park (suite #5).
