OUR OBJECTIVES
  • To provide more tournaments to mid and eastern Florida (but all are welcomed!)
  • To run efficient, friendly and pleasant competitions
  • To reduce the cost of tournaments for everyone
  • To progress the skills of fencers at all levels

THE MEDALS The champion in both senior events will receive a 10", engraved, fire-inspired trophy! All others will receive medals that differ from the norm. Unlike any other tournament, all who renew or earn a rating will actually receive a "flaming letter" to mark the occasion! THE SALE! We will have a table of new and used gear to be sold at a discount! Knickers, jackets, chest protectors, gloves, socks, etc. So bring some extra cash or a check in case you see something you like! *Unrated referees have passed the FOC exam, but have not been observed for a rating increase. THE VENUE AND CONTACTS ... A plethora of shops and restaurants are located right around the corner from the community center. REGISTRATION POLICY The registration and event fees are non-refundable, unless we cancel your event or reschedule it, preventing you from attending. As past patrons will attest, we promptly return your fees in such cases. The days of "sign up and not show up" are dwindling as organizers and fencers are awakening to the benefits of a more reliable list of competitors. Late registrations are not generally accepted, unless adding a fencer will help the event. CONDUCT POLICY ZERO TOLERANCE FOR POOR CONDUCT. This applies to every human soul in the venue. Staff members deserve respect and appreciation for a doing a tough job for which few volunteer. DO NOT ASK TO REPLACE A REFEREE. We go above and beyond to select the best referees the local community has to offer. SAFETY POLICY Masks and body cords will be tested as usual. Full fencing attire is required, including socks that meet the knee. If you show up with crew socks (or no socks), you will not be permitted to fence.
