Everybody fences everybody! Bouts are five touch; the whole tournament is one giant round robin. USFA membership is required, and USFA rules apply. You must be at least 13 years of age in order to compete. Limit of 30 fencers.
Ever feel like you traveled an awful lot of miles to fence an awfully few bouts? Maybe what you need is a MELEE! RSSF Announces The Saber Melee Everybody fences everybody! Bouts are five points; the whole tournament is one giant round robin. USFA membership is required, and USFA rules apply. You must be at least 13 years of age in order to compete. Due to the size and time constraints of the tournament, entries will be capped at 30 participants. Register early to make sure that you get a spot on that great big score sheet! The top eight fencers as determined by the pool results, will receive medals. We will fence 15 touch DE bouts to determine which fencers will earn ratings. The top 50% or top 12 fencers, whichever is greater, will be promoted to DE's. The Melee generally takes 7-10 hours to complete. So plan to fence all day. Bring plenty of snacks and beverages. The entry fee is $20. Pre-paid is pre-registered. Late entry will be taken at door if there are slots available, a $10 late fee will be assessed. AND if you decide to come down on a whim, call and make sure that the cap has not been met!
