POULE PARTY 2025
Presented by the UBC Fencing Club
The UBC Fencing Club would like to invite fencers to Poule Party 2025. The tournament will consist of senior mixed foil and épée events.
Events Scheduled:
Senior Mixed Épée (13+) - check in closes at 9:00 AM
Senior Mixed Foil (13+) - check in closes at 9:00 AM
Events begin as soon as able after close of check in. Late check ins will not be accepted.

Pre-registration closes: 11:59pm Friday, August 22, 2025. Registrations on the day of the event will not be accepted.
Note: Events will be cancelled if there are less than 6 people registered.
---------- TOURNAMENT FORMAT: ----------
Each event will consist of a single large poule in which each participant will fence a five point bout against every other participant. Tournament results will be based on poule results, with ties for first, second, or third place resolved via one point overtime bouts with priority.
**Update**
Due to the lower than expected number of participants, the bout length will be adjusted. If an event has fewer than 8 participants, bouts will go to 15 points; if there are 8-10 participants, bouts will go to 10 points; if more than 10 people are registered, bouts will go to five points.

All entrants must wear proper equipment (fencing jacket, plastron, breeches, knee-high socks, weapon-appropriate mask, glove, lamé (for foil) and non-marking indoor shoes) during competition.

Cost: $30
Payment will be collected at the registration table on the day of the tournament. We accept cash, e-transfer, debit, and credit.

The Waiver of Liability Form must be signed by all participants or their legal guardians prior to their participation in the tournament. More information will be available soon.
