Age Requirements for 2016-2017 season: Y10: Birth years of 2006 - 2009 Y12: Birth years of 2004 - 2007 Y14: Birth years of 2002 – 2005 PLEASE! Do not register if you do not fall within these age categories. You will not be allowed to fence and we will not refund your entry fees. If you are too young and have NATIONAL points which would qualify you to fence in an older age category please notify the organizer. Reminder: USFA membership expires July 31 so please renew immediately so you are up to date by competition. Awards to top 8. If you can not stay for award presentation, have someone pick up the medal. No medals will be given out before the award presentation. Regular online registration period runs through August 6, 2016 $30 Registration plus $25 per event Fencers not registered by August 6 will pay late fees. There will be no exceptions for any reason. Preregistration without payment does not constitute valid registration. We are not responsible for any inability to register on askfred. In order to avoid any problems, we encourage you not to wait until the last minute to register. From August 7 through August 13, 2016 DOUBLE FEES $60 registration plus $50 per event Final Pre-registration will close at midnight August 13, 2016. After August 13, no registration will be accepted through AskFRED. Furthermore, any registrations after this date are subject to a $200 surcharge, per the US Fencing RYC guidelines. Walkins are permitted at the triple fee rate ($90 + $75) and must have pertinent paperwork. IN ORDER TO COMPETE YOU MUST CHECK-IN BEFORE THE LISTED DEADLINE WITH THE FOLLOWING: 1) a COMPETITIVE USA Fencing membership card (valid for the current competitive season); AND 2) the fencer is required to provide a fully-completed waiver form that has been signed by a parent or legal guardian; AND 3) the fencer is required to show a birth-certificate (copy acceptable) or other government-issued identification showing a birth date unless officially verified by USFA. To help us speed registration, please have all this paperwork ready at checkin. This is especially critical if the fencer does not have a parent/guardian accompanying them. No one will be allowed to fence without a signed waiver form. Waivers are available on the who's coming page and can be downloaded for your convenience and and will also be onsite for signature. Events WILL be mixed if less than 5 competitors in M/W events (i.e., Y10 M/W foil may be mixed). Mixed events will only occur within age category. Event times are approximate; they could change depending on number of entries. Important tournament information, including any close of check-in time changes, will be communicated through the FRED e-mail system. Be sure your e-mail address is up-to-date. Visit askfred.net then go to "My FRED" to verify your current e-mail address. Please be aware that athletes that do not check in on time for their event will be scratched. No exceptions for any reason. Be at the venue 1/2 hour to 1 hour before your close of registration. All times listed are close of check-in, and are subject to change. Refund requests can later be made with USA Fencing as appropriate. REFUNDS - For refund of event fee(s), withdrawals must be received in writing no later than August 6. Registration fees are nonrefundable. Refunds will be processed no later than 4-6 weeks following the tournament. Event schedule times may be changed depending on entries. Equipment check will be open at 7:00 am on August 20 and 7:30 on August 21. Equipment check will test the mask, foil mask bib, lame jacket, glove, mask and body cords. Masks that do not pass the 12-kg punch test will be impounded or given a visible mark to signify that the mask is "not approved for use." UNIFORMS REQUIREMENTS All USA Fencing uniform requirements apply. NAMES ARE NOT REQUIRED ON THE UNIFORM. AS OF AUGUST 1, 2012, CONDUCTIVE BIBS ARE REQUIRED IN ALL FOIL EVENTS EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS AND INSPECTIONS Y10 fencers must fence with weapons NO LONGER than 32.5 inches. All current USFA equipment rules will be enforced. Preregistration opens on 06/01/2016. Initial Preregistration closes on 08/06/2016. Final preregistration closes August 13, 2016.
